About Kienle Communications LLC

Kienle Communications LLC was founded by Judy Kienle, formerly a healthcare consultant with an international healthcare software company and later with two Midwest healthcare entities. Judy's experience in healthcare led her to helping other professional service firms market their services.


Since its inception, Kienle Communications LLC has helped clients in architecture, engineering, construction, accounting and medical services increase their success.

Judith (Judy) K. Kienle, CPSM, MPH



Judy is a rare mix of talent -- experience in operations, marketing, writing and editing, and previously practiced as a psychotherapist prior to launching Kienle Communications LLC in 1990. When you hire her, you know she is listening to you.  The result -- practical strategies and solutions to differentiate your firm. 


Whether it's creating a marketing plan, facilitating a strategy session, or editing a publication for you, she will help you differentiate your firm for success.  


Judy graduated from Waynesburg University, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania with a bachelor's of arts degree in psychology and from the University of Pittsburgh with a master's degree in public health administration. She earned the designation of Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) from the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS). To become a CPSM, an individual must meet certain  qualifications and pass an examination covering the six Domains of Practice: Marketing Research, Marketing Plans, Client and Business Development, Promotional Activity, SOQs and Proposals, and Information, Resource, and Organizational Management.  


Peter J. (Pete) Kienle, FSMPS, CPSM, MBA



Pete has a "roll up your sleeves and get it done" approach despite the alphabet of initials following his name. Owner's project manager, director of marketing and business development, and chief marketing officer (CMO) are titles Pete has answered to during his experience with ENR 500 design firms. 


Pete concentrates on identifying the critical issues for responding to RFPs and coaching the interview team for successful presentations. With more than 1,000 interviews under his belt, Pete has seen just about everything and has some amusing stories that bring to life interview best practices.


Pete loves nothing more than helping others to be their best. Training, coaching and mentoring are his specialites and he has the practical experience to back them up.


Pete earned a bachelors degree in history and a masters degree in business administration (MBA), with a major in marketing, from The Ohio State University.


He has made more than 100 presentations for local, regional, and national organizations, and writes for several national publications including The Marketer for the Society for Marketing Professional Services and PSMJ's AE Marketing Journal. In addition to being a CPSM, Pete also is a Fellow, the highest designation for a professional services marketer, and is a past national president of the 6,000+ member SMPS.
